Become the Science Breakthrough of the Year 2025 in the Life Sciences category and be part of this year’s Falling Walls Science Summit

Dear Czech-BioImaging Users,
we are excited to share with you the launch of the Falling Walls Global Call 2025, a key part of the renowned Falling Walls Science Summit that will take place from 7-9 November 2025 at the Falling Walls Science House, Karl-Marx-Allee 34, Berlin. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in person or attend online.
The Falling Walls Global Call is an international competition designed to bring together a diverse range of science enthusiasts. It seeks the most groundbreaking and innovative science breakthroughs of the year. Nominations and applications from all over the world are invited to help make the 2025 Summit a celebration of excellent science.
Applications in the following categories are welcome:
- Life Sciences – The scientific study of life and organisms (e.g., biology, neuroscience, zoology).
- Physical Sciences – The observation and understanding of natural phenomena (e.g., chemistry, physics, astronomy).
- Engineering & Technology – The practical application of science and mathematics (e.g., AI, IT, mechanical engineering).
- Social Sciences & Humanities – The institutions and functioning of human society (e.g., politics, economics, philosophy).
- Art & Science – Artistic work inspired by science that sheds light on societal issues, natural phenomena, or the wonder of scientific discoveries.
- Science Start-ups (Falling Walls Venture) – Innovative start-ups turning scientific breakthroughs into promising business models.
- Science Engagement (Falling Walls Engage) – Participatory science initiatives fostering mutual learning between science and society.
- Women’s Impact Award (Female Science Talents) – Recognizing interdisciplinary research and engagement that contributes to gender equality, diversity in science, and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
In the Life Sciences category internationally recognised, established academics and leaders in the scientific study of life and organisms (e.g. biology, neuroscience, zoology) are welcome to apply.
